About the Home Consignment Center
In 1994 Christine and Johnny Crowell came up with a decided to open a consignment furniture store based off the principles Johnny had developed in his antique auto consignment business. They joined together with Jamece and John Fondnazio for a partnership that has lasted for 18 years and has spread to locations in California, Nevada, and Texas. In 1995 the Home Consignment Center also began consigning jewelry as an additional service to its consigners and jewelry.
The traditional consignment approach involves offering consigners falsely high profits, followed by deep price cuts to push fast turnaround. The Home Consignment Center believes that pricing items fairly from the start is the honest way to conduct business and let shoppers know that they can always trust they are getting a great deal. In addition, sales people at the Home Consignment Center aren’t paid on a commission, so they are more interested in helping you find what you want than about making the most expensive sale possible.
The Home Consignment Center believes in treating both consigners and shoppers fairly and doing what is best for them, which is why there are now seventeen locations in three states.
